ALAW is pleased to announce that Stacy Mestayer has been named Managing Partner. A legal and mortgage finance executive with more than a decade of history at the firm, Stacy brings a rare combination of transactional depth, legal technology expertise, and executive leadership to this role.

Stacy has served as Chief Legal Officer at ALAW while concurrently leading Alita Group as its Chief Executive Officer, a dual role that reflects both the breadth of her capabilities and the trust the firm places in her leadership. Prior to that, she served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Voxtur Analytics Corp. (TSX-V), where she directed legal and compliance functions and oversaw more than $250 million in mergers and acquisitions activity. She simultaneously held the role of President of the Firm’s Oversite Data Services/BestX from 2015 to 2025.
Earlier in her career, Stacy served as Partner and General Counsel at ALAW, with oversight spanning Brightline Title, Commonwealth USA Settlements, and InfoEx. She first joined the firm in 2012.
Her practice spans corporate law, creditors’ rights, default servicing, whole loan trading, title and settlement, and mergers and acquisitions, making her one of the most comprehensively credentialed executives in the mortgage finance and default servicing space.
Stacy’s contributions to the industry have earned consistent national recognition. She has been named a Woman of Inspiration and Woman of Influence by National Mortgage Professional, a Lending Luminary by Progress in Lending, a Woman of Tech by Mortgage Women Magazine, and a Top 25 Woman in Law by DS News.
