Senior Partner Jeffrey Fraser has been named to the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and appointed as a Coordinating Editor of the ABI Journal, the organization’s flagship publication. The dual appointments recognize Jeff’s deep expertise in bankruptcy law and his standing as a thought leader in the insolvency community.

The American Bankruptcy Institute, founded in 1982, is the nation’s largest multidisciplinary association of bankruptcy professionals, with nearly 10,000 members. ABI is a trusted voice in bankruptcy policy, frequently called upon to analyze proposed legislation, testify before Congress, and brief lawmakers on the evolving landscape of insolvency law.
As a board member, Jeff will help guide ABI’s strategic direction in support of its mission to advance education, research, and policy across the profession.
On the editorial side, Jeff will oversee the ABI Journal’s Consumer Corner, a column focused on consumer bankruptcy issues, trends, and case law, covering topics such as reaffirmation agreements, secured creditor interest rates, and developments under §523(a)(4). The column is widely read by bankruptcy professionals seeking to stay current on consumer-related legal developments.
These appointments reflect Jeff’s recognized expertise in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law and his ongoing commitment to advancing the profession at the national level.
