
Biography
Stacy Mestayer is a legal and mortgage finance executive with expertise in corporate law and legal technology across multiple real estate verticals, including mortgage finance, title & settlement, whole loan trading, and mergers & acquisitions.
She currently serves as Chief Legal Officer of ALAW, where she oversees the Firm’s legal affairs and strategy. Her responsibilities include corporate governance, corporate finance, commercial contracts, litigation, compliance, privacy, labor and employment, and intellectual property.
Prior to her current tenure at ALAW, Stacy served as Chief Legal Officer at Voxtur Analytics Corp., where she led all legal and compliance functions and managed more than $250 million in mergers and acquisitions. During this time, she also served as President of Oversite Data Services, a legal data analytics company providing due diligence to the secondary mortgage market. She previously held the role of General Counsel for ALAW Enterprises, directing legal and compliance operations for the firm and its affiliated entities, including Brightline Title, Commonwealth USA Settlements, and InfoEx. Earlier in her career, she practiced law in both the public and private sectors.
Stacy has won multiple awards for her work in law and mortgage lending, including National Mortgage Professional Magazine’s Mortgage Lending Women of Inspiration, Progress in Lending’s Lending Luminary Award, Mortgage Women Magazine’s Women of Tech, National Mortgage Professional’s Women of Influence Award, and DS News’ Top 25 Women in Law Award.
