Biography
Jonathan Sawyer serves as a Partner and Chief of Staff in ALAW’s Tampa, Florida headquarters. He joined the firm after earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law.
Jonathan provides executive oversight for the firm’s REO, retail closing, deed in lieu, eviction, default title, and foreclosure practices. He also manages the firm’s title agencies and underwriter relationships, ensuring compliance with all underwriting requirements and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Recognized as an industry authority, Jonathan has built strong relationships with institutional lenders, mortgage servicers, national title providers, and asset managers. His expertise covers lender-driven transactions, the disposition of distressed assets, and post-acquisition services.
He is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, American Bar Association, and American Legal & Financial Network, as well as the Business Law and Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Divisions of The Florida Bar. He has also contributed to several industry committees and panels throughout his career.
