Alex Koval serves as Managing Attorney for our Tennessee practice, leading the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights work across the state. A Board-Certified Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist, he has managed one of the highest bankruptcy caseloads in the Middle District of Tennessee.
Alex’s experience with high-volume bankruptcy matters informs his leadership of the Tennessee practice. He focuses on consistent representation and clear guidance for clients navigating bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters.
His work has earned repeated peer recognition, including selection for the Mid-South Super Lawyers list in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026. He was also recognized as a Rising Star in 2013 and from 2016 through 2019.
Alex earned his law degree from Nashville School of Law in 2010 and is licensed in Tennessee and North Carolina.
Born in Ukraine, Alex immigrated to the United States more than 20 years ago and considers Nashville home. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling with his daughter. He speaks four languages fluently and is studying three more.
