
Biography
Stacy Mestayer is a legal and mortgage finance executive with deep expertise in corporate law, legal technology, and creditors’ rights across multiple real estate verticals, including Mortgage Finance, Default Servicing, Whole Loan Trading, Title and Settlement, and Mergers and Acquisitions.
She serves as Managing Partner, leading firm-wide legal, operational, and strategic functions. Concurrently, she serves as CEO of Alita Group, a technology company focused on reducing the cost of homeownership through innovative mortgage and real estate solutions.
Prior to rejoining ALAW in a leadership capacity, Stacy served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for Voxtur Analytics Corp., a financial technology company trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, where she led all legal and compliance functions and managed more than $250 million in mergers and acquisitions. During this time, she also served as President of Oversite Data Services, a legal data analytics company that provides due diligence for the secondary mortgage market.
Earlier in her career, Stacy served as a Partner and General Counsel for ALAW, overseeing legal and compliance functions across the firm and its affiliated companies, including Brightline Title, Commonwealth USA Settlements, and InfoEx.
Stacy has been recognized by National Mortgage Professional Magazine as a Mortgage Lending Woman of Inspiration, by Progress in Lending as a Lending Luminary, by Mortgage Women Magazine as a Woman of Tech, by National Mortgage Professional as a Woman of Influence, and by DS News as one of the Top 25 Women in Law.
